A new chapter of Bleach is out, so let's talk about it.
Spoilers and chilly relations after the cut.
Valkyrie has a funny way of making friends.
Hitsugaya goes into bankai, which every reader saw coming from a mile away. And Hinamori is concerned about the little bastard. That isn't surprising either.
Once again, that fight is treated as though it carries less importance than everything else that's going on. And that's fine with me.
Because finally, we're going to see the encounter that the manga has been building toward for well over a year: Ichigo vs. Ishida!
After Ichigo ran off, I figured that since he wasn't going to get his butt kicked by Nakk le Varr, either Ishida or Haschwald would do the honors.
I didn't expect that Ishida had been planning some kind of trickery (maybe even treachery), or that he'd get caught by Haschwald (who currently has Bach's power while the old man sleeps).
Either way, what we've been given for the moment is the meeting. An excellent place to have a cliffhanger so as to build suspense for the coming weeks.
All I want to see is a good fight. Whether it's Ichigo vs. Ishida or Ichigo vs. Haschwald. I'm hoping they don't fight Haschwald together, though given that he has Bach's power right now, Ichigo probably wouldn't beat him without some kind of ridiculous Mayuri-esque ass-pull.
We're set, though, and the course I predicted many moons ago just might be taking place. Better late than never, I suppose.
