The newest Bleach chapter is out. So of course, I have to talk about it.

So we're back in the midst of the fight between Rukia and Stern Ritter As Nodt, the bastard who stole Byakuya's bankai and attempts to exploit the fear in his opponents.
Then a bit of a surprise happens. We find that part of Sode no Shirayuki's power is to drive the temperature of her body below 0 degrees. She resembles a zombie more than a shinigami now. And this technique seems to be rather effective, as she carves up As Nodt just as the chapter ends.
If this seems a bit too convenient...well, it probably is!
The bastard that can't feel fear is suddenly made to feel it? Entirely expected, I'm sure. It didn't surprise me that much. But for Rukia to unlock that kind of power is something else. We'll see how she sustains, or if she can. I doubt that it's something she can use over and over again in a short period of time.
Then again, I'm sure As Nodt has something else up his sleeves.
It couldn't be this easy, could it?
I think this would define the word "overpowered". Even Renji's bankai wasn't anything like Sode no Shirayuki's "new" power.
