Another Bleach chapter is out, so why not talk about it?
Spoilers after the cut.
It's interesting to see how the battle between Bach and Hyousube has evolved. Basically, it looks like things were proceeding in such a way so as to force Hyousube to release his zanpakutou.
Was it weird that the monk would have a calligraphy brush for a zanpakutou? Of course! As the splash page tells us, Hyousube is an eccentric.
As to his actual power...well, who knows. It feels like the techniques he's been using have just been spending time rather than causing Bach any harm or trouble. Bach's obviously tougher than he looks (and it's not like he looks like a weakling).
But now that Hyousube has released Ichimonji, things may change drastically.
Or it may be revealed that the battle between the leaders of the Shinigami and Quincy is merely a distraction while the elite Stern Ritter, Haschwald, and Ishida pursue other ends.
So there's not much to say about what occurred in chapter 607, because the battle is still a stalemate.
