Bleach 635 - Hooded Enigma

Another Bleach chapter is out, so let's talk about it.

Spoilers and a shaky camera after the cut.

After the Bazz-B/Haschwald battle, we've been given a chapter that jumps around all over Quincy HQ.

It turns out that the remaining female Stern Ritter that accompanied Bazz-B made it all the way to Bach's lair and fought him.  They chose poorly.

Valkyrie runs into a dead end and currently has no one to fight.  Boring.

Lille Barro, true to form, is acting like a sniper, taking out the weaker members of the Gotei 13.  Not bad in terms of usage, but not terribly interesting because the Gotei 13 at this point doesn't interest me.

Pernida has the toughest job, it seems.  It is facing off against Kenpachi and Mayuri, and while neither of them are on Kyouraku's level, they're not weakling vice-captains.  Maybe we'll finally get to see under Pernida's hood, as well.

Nakk le Varr is still running away, though he easily coerces Grimmjow into attacking a "ball of poison".  Sure, that makes sense.

It looks like 635 is nothing more than set-up for the next few weeks.  And while it's hard to get a grasp on how long the manga will go, with the elite Stern Ritter currently in action, it does seem like the end is in sight finally.

To be honest, the end ought to be in sight, as this so-called "final arc" has already taken 14 volumes.  There are enough chapters for a 15th volume of this arc as well and it still doesn't seem like it'll be over by, say, chapter 650.
