Bleach 666 - Empty Hall of the Puppet Temple

A new chapter of Bleach is out, so let's talk about it.

Spoilers and devils in the details after the cut.

I'm not sure what the title refers to this week.  Urahara's bankai, maybe?

At any rate, what we've got is one of those transitional chapters; as one battle fades from prominence, another re-enters.  Urahara and Grimmjow have successfully (?) taken down Nakk le Varr.  However, in a twist probably everyone saw coming, he doesn't just go away quietly.  No, he takes them down with him.

Or so it would appear.  Outside the range of the "gift ball deluxe" stands Neliel, apparently ready to save our erstwhile author avatar and his arrancar cohort.

I'm not sure how Neliel intends to save them, but given her line that she was looking forward to seeing Ichigo again, it sounds like it's not going to end well for her.

The scene then switches to Hitsugaya and Byakuya battling Gerard Valkyrie.  It feels like it's been a little while since we've seen anything happen here and it seemed like it'd be a stalemate.  Valkyrie is too large to effectively trap Hitsugaya and Hitsugaya is far too tiny (even with Byakuya's help as we see here) to do anything in return.

So here comes the madman of the Gotei 13 to save their bacon again.  And in doing so, Valkyrie is turned into nothing more than Yammy 2.0.

That's right, Kenpachi is back.  Again.  I'm hoping that his brush with death has led to a Saiyan-esque increase in power.  Because even after cutting off Valkyrie's hand at the wrist, the dude is still quite large and poses a problem that they've been unable to solve as yet.

And even though Kenpachi's rep has taken a couple hits recently, his re-entrance was still badass.
