Another chapter of Bleach is out, so let's talk about it.

Well, this has gotten messy, hasn't it?
As is the norm for a Mayuri battle, all logic has gone out the fucking window and has been replaced by...whatever this chapter is.
Pernida (who apparently is in denial that he's the left arm of the Soul King, despite looking EXACTLY like a left arm) is doing weird shit with his "nerves", transforming the ground and buildings as he desires.
So of course, Mayuri has exploding armor, shifted body features (namely, his nerves, blood vessels, and muscles), and the surprising ability to use the Quincy sky-walking move, Hirenkyaku.
Sure, that makes sense! Totally logical!
There has been a lot of dumb crap in this manga recently that can really only be chalked up to convenience for a plot that has been stuck in the mud for months.
And to be fair, that assumes that there's still a plot to this manga. I think there is a plot somewhere, but who knows how it'll resolve itself.
At any rate, things have gotten weird and don't look like they'll normalize for another couple of weeks (if we're lucky). So I guess the thing to do is make the most of it; just marvel at the weirdness and then quickly forget about it once it has passed.
