A new chapter of Bleach is out, so let's talk about it.

The battle between Mayuri and Pernida has been silly from the start.
However, with the latest development nine chapters in, we really see how ridiculous it has become.
First of all, Mayuri sacrificed Nemu in order to defeat Pernida. That is an unquestionable fact. My question is: why the hell did it take nine chapters to get to this point?!
Another nice touch was to have the "ghost" of Szayel Apollo troll Mayuri (and, of course, the readers).
Sure, that fight wasn't annoying or overly drawn-out, so why not bring him back for a few fleeting pages?
The funny thing is, once this fight actually ends (and I'm not sure it won't go for a tenth or even eleventh chapter), we'll probably be treated to 7-8 chapters worth of Nakk le Varr running away from his fight against Ichigo/Grimmjow/whoever else.
Or maybe Valkyrie is still having trouble finding an opponent.
My hope is that this fight has finally ended. Even if it has, there'll probably be a few pages in the next chapter to clean up loose ends before moving on to one of the other elite Stern Ritter's fights.
