Bleach 644 - Baby, Hold Your Hand 7

A new chapter of Bleach is out, so let's talk about it.

Spoilers and spooky containers after the cut.

What do you know, people, I was right about something!  I should really enjoy this moment, because it is damn likely that it won't happen but once or twice more while the manga is still running.  Ha ha ha.

As expected, a few pages of chapter 644 were required to close out Mayuri and Nemu's story in the Royal Realm (or Wahrwelt, if you prefer).

The only revelation of interest (not to me, but some people, I suppose) is that the top of the 10th Division will ride again.  That's right, Hitsugaya and Matsumoto have been revived and are ready to kick someone's arse.

Well, I guess "ready to kick arse" is a bit presumptuous.  Hitsugaya has trouble kicking anyone's arse on his best day, and he's clearly not 100% right now.

The rest of the chapter concerns Urahara, Kyouraku, and the rest of the Gotei 13 that was along with them.  Apparently, even though the battle between Mayuri and Pernida took roughly 2.5 months, Urahara and Kyouraku are still waltzing through the Royal Realm without a care in the world.

After all, they're not the ones being cut down by Lille Barro.

Kyouraku starts the counter-attack by seemingly taking a bullet (or whatever it is that Barro fires from that rifle of his) in the chest.  He then appears behind Barro and cuts off part of the rifle.

Typical Kyouraku, right?  He just does weird shit like that and explains it away later.

I presume that we'll learn more about the technique he used next chapter. And if we're really lucky, several pages of explanation about whatever Daruma-san is.  I'm sure it means something in Japanese that is sadly lost in translation.
