Spoilers and fighting stances after the cut.
When is it safe to sleep in "enemy territory"? Never.
Yet that's just what Renji did. We'll see if that bites him in the ass.
He and Rukia had a plan, but knowing them, it wasn't much of a good one. They apparently didn't realize the extent of the Quincy takeover in Seireitei and thought they could get away with "hiding out" after each battle was concluded.
So finally, the luchador Mask de Masculine (apparently that's his name) is done and we can move on to something else. In the case of chapter 566, that fight is between Rukia and the Stern Ritter that stole Byakuya's bankai, As Nodt. Some may find this to be an interesting matchup, due to the familial connection. For now, I'm in a wait-and-see mode. Let Kubo show us what new power Rukia has manifested. Then I'll decide whether or not it's worth my time.
After last week's exposition on Bach, I fully expected a return to the battlefield. Chapter 566 sets that up nicely. Now we'll see how long these two fights last.
And I guess we'll see whether or not Rukia is truly fearless. Is there really anything a shinigami could be afraid of?
