It's Christmas and there's a new Bleach chapter out! What are the odds?
Spoilers after the cut.
And I thought things were ridiculous before.
Apparently, shikai isn't strong enough to deliver a killing blow to a Stern Ritter. This shouldn't surprise me at this juncture; Renji is still a VC, after all, and doesn't look to be all that strong.
So it's definitely no surprise that he pulls out his bankai at the end of the chapter. He's gotta do something, right?
But what's really ridiculous are the things this Stern Ritter and his little buddy James are doing. They're defying logic to no purpose. If it was entertaining, I might be able to overlook it. But let's face it, this fight has no bearing on anything and isn't what people want to see (I'm guessing).
So it's just a waste of time, really.
There are still things to look forward to. That much is obvious. But as far as how long it'll take to get there (and how they'll be handled), it seems really far away at this point.
