Another week, another Bleach chapter.
Spoilers after the cut.
More zombie captains and another frickin' nonsense ability.
That's the basic gist of chapter 594.
At the time of writing, the reader is pathetically slow and had to be reloaded multiple times, so I can't look at the chapter for the finer points. Captain Kurotsuchi is still messing around with Hitsugaya, and he has his Arrancar take on Captains Muguruma and Ootoribashi, plus VC Matsumoto.
Byakuya has taken out three Stern Ritter on his own and is left with Meninas and Liltotto...before 9th VC Hisagi appears on the scene. He seems like he's on-the-level, but when Byakuya goes after him, it is apparent that something is amiss. I guess he's being controlled by another Stern Ritter, Pepe.
Maybe it's just me, but it feels like we've seen Pepe's ability before. In fact, it reminds me quite a bit of Zommari's "Amor" ability.
That might have something to do with it using the same bloody word.
Anyway, this chapter wasn't really all that exciting. It's more or less a setup for the next phase of this drawn-out fight between shinigami and Stern Ritter, although it appears to be moving on (finally) from Kurotsuchi and the zombie nonsense. I'm sure the Byakuya/Pepe fight will be no less annoying, though.
