The newest chapter of Bleach is out. So let's talk about it!
Spoilers after the cut.
This shouldn't take long.
We're four chapters into the last arc of Bleach and we're still stuck with the same bullshit. Hitusgaya and Soi Fong are still battling their Stern Ritter counterparts. There is a bit of talk between 12th Division Captain Kurotsuchi and the Stern Ritter that invaded that part of the Seireitei, but it's nothing all that interesting.
Honestly, I'm already considering taking a break from the manga to let some of this stuff play out. We haven't seen Ichigo do a damn thing, nor has there been any movement from the captains people might actually care about.
Until this nonsense with Hitusgaya and Soi Fong is over, I can't really care about what goes on in the manga, because I have no connection with either character. Granted, it'll be the same thing with Kyouraku or Hirako, or whichever other captain is fighting a Stern Ritter. Still, there are more interesting characters out there than the ones that the author is focusing on currently. When those characters are the ones receiving the focus then I'll be locked in.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to try something new. I know, Bleach is a "battle manga" (to quote Bakuman), but this crap is getting extremely repetitive.
