2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Day 26

There's a Game 7 to come in the east and a team in the west takes a lead.

First, Pittsburgh vs. NY Rangers.

Henrik Lundqvist has shut down the Pens' offense.  And the Rangers can suddenly score.

This looks like a bad combo for Pittsburgh, especially since they're ostensibly the "better" team.  However, Game 7 is in Pittsburgh.

Derick Brassard is a guy that has come on recently.  He had a goal last night after having two the previous game.  He's really putting the points up there, as are linemates Zuccarello and Pouliot.

I like the Rangers to win Game 7, especially if Lundqvist has his best.

The series is tied 3-3.  Game 7 is Tuesday.

Last, Minnesota vs. Chicago.

A surprisingly close one in Chicago last night.  Both goaltenders were on their game, apparently.

What surprises me about that is how bad Bryzgalov looked against Colorado and in the first two games of this series.  I figured that Chicago would be advancing in five easily.  Not so fast, as nobody wins in Minnesota!

Playoff point machine Bryan Bickell had the goal in the second to tie the game. And captain Jonathan Toews had the game-winner in the third.  It's good to see both of them, but especially Toews, get back in on the action. Also, Patrick Sharp had assists on both goals.

Of course, the best part of last night had to be seeing Crawford getting closer to 2013 form.

Chicago leads 3-2.  Game 6 is Tuesday.

Later today, Game 6 in Montreal and Game 5 in Anaheim.  Fired up yet?
