Another week, another Bleach chapter. You know what that means!
(no, not another cliff...oh, wait)
Spoilers after the cut.
As expected, the massacre of unimportant shinigami continues. Also, some "new" Stern Ritter are introduced.
At this point, I can't really care about these people.
Their abilities are overpowered and they generally have shitty personalities. So what's the positive? How am I supposed to empathize with them?
I can understand empathizing with Kenpachi. But maybe that says something bad about me.
Oh, well, this chapter basically comes down to one thing: the identity of the person arriving on the last page.
And wouldn't you know it, Kubo ends the chapter on a completely insipid cliffhanger. It's only made more insipid by the fact that it is so unnecessary.
Let's look at the possibilities: okay, it's either Ichigo....
So yeah, of all the people that went up to the Royal Realm (or whatever stupid name it has been given), the only one who hasn't shown up is the main character.
I had to look it up; Ichigo's last appearance, or at least, the one where he started making his way down from the Royal Realm to Seireitei, was in chapter 555. So it's been twenty-five freakin' chapters since the MAIN CHARACTER was involved in even an ancillary way.
Oh, and of course, the above assumes that Ichigo is the one in the explosion of light on the last page of this chapter. Knowing Kubo, it's not Ichigo, but someone else entirely, someone we don't want to see.
If that's the case, then my money is on Urahara.
